I finally finished editing and uploading photos that LeAnn and I took on our trip to New York and Washington DC. We left on June 24 and stayed with Anne for several days, then went to DC until July 5. I took nearly 700 photos, but managed to narrow it down to about 150 to share publicly.

I attended a conference held at Centennial Middle School in Snohomish Washington last week. During lunch I went for a walk and found this old tennis court. I thought the shadows from the fence formed an interesting pattern.

Today I visited Snoqualmie Falls, which is currently gushing due to 30 consecutive days of rain. You know it’s a bad sign when Seattle makes the national news due to so much rain. It has been good for mountain snow but bad for flooding rivers.

I recently received a Spudtrooper as a gift, which I’ve put on the shelf next to Darth Tater. This one doesn’t have as good of puns, but here are a few from the packaging;

• “Freeze, or I’ll mash you”
• “Equiped with a lazer masher and spud armor to save their skins, the mighty Spudtroopers have sworn allegiance to Darth Tater. Now, the Rebel Alliance must flee to keep from getting fried.”

I took this picture while walking home from Star$’s the other day. One of my neighbors had put out a pile of scrap wood for anyone to take for free. I found it amusing that on the bottom of the “FREE” sign, the person had written, “Do not take sign.”

Today while I was at my mom’s house I saw these mushrooms growing outside on her lawn. I’ve never seen them grow so tall and narrow. They’re proof I need to mow the lawn. I took the photo with my camera phone, they aren’t actually glowing like that.

The alien looking shrooms reminded me of a music video I saw recently.
